Why most setups go nowhere

Hi,

Ever bought a "perfect setup" that just sat there?

Here's why. At every price there's a stack of orders waiting. When volume is heavy, the stacks are thick, and price has to chew through every one of them. Think of a crowded hallway: you shuffle.

When the hallway clears, you can run.

The 1-2-3 is how you see the hallway clearing: a big push, a push back, and then nobody follows through. Both sides leave. The top of that first push is what Ryan Brooks calls the Tripwire, and when price crosses it, it's in thin air.

That's why it works on chip stocks, tobacco and the S&P 500 alike: 897 of 1,265 finished calls closed in profit. See it on real charts.
